The Nudists represent nothing less than the birth of Towson-Glen Arm, a genesis which occurred in summer 1992 when this wild group of teen visionaries got together in a Towson basement to create a body of work that combined avant garde music, absurd performance art, political activism, and their own invented language of inside jokes and irreverent humor. Sonic Youth is one of those bands where you easily run out of superlatives to describe what they created. This could've easily come off as a cynical cash-grab by a band that had broken up 11 years prior to the release of this record, but that's not what this is. When you consider the very uniqueness of this group, why wouldn't you buy it? They really are a seriously spectacular live act as well as masters of the studio. Gavin Hellyer
